SO this was an experiment of new things, a list of things I haven't animated before, like water, swimming, waving hair, fish and cartwheels! You see I can't really swim (I will learn someday), but at least here I can save myself the embarrassment of arm floaties! :D Hope you enjoy it as much as I did doing this!.

So it was four days with a laptop not working, took out the sketchbook watched some good dvds! This one's my version of a poster for Mona Lisa Smile. A 'Stepfordian' 1950's wife, let's just dust it all under the rug and smile!

My favorite dog on campus, Doggie, gave birth to her litter of seven, sometime ago. All of them have bindis on their heads (save one, I think) and all thoroughly adorable.
Dogs are therapeutic, it is indeed, fact. 

This is for a friend of mine Jitterbug, she makes these fancy snacks for us whenever we're in dire need of food! Happy Birthday Nilo!! Lots of love!

 To Harsha, Shubee and Veeru, and to all of those happy dogs who keep spreading the joy! 

There's only one person I know, who would go for weeks, eating ice-cream for breakfast even in winter!! :D And as she puts it, how can a day ever go wrong, when you start it, with THAT!

You see, I'm a big, BIG Rowling fan, It's been over 10 years and not one drawing to remember it by? No way, so this is what came out of it! Lazy afternoon walks between classes with Harry, Hermione and Ron. :D Cheers to a true genius!

I wouldn't trade my colour pencils for anything! :D

New blog face deserves a new blog profile picture! 

It's been so long since I sat with my set of wax crayons!! Took them out after so long, felt so nice! Tomorrow should be colour pencils then. :D .

A day with only downs and no ups! Was a day when I really wished I could come home to my dog waiting for me.

Konichiwa! Yes! Totoro is now a part of my family! Couldn't avoid putting that silly pink heart, I've been waiting his arrival for quite some time, and now he tells me he's here to stay!  

These are long overdue Tokyo sketches, unfortunately didn't get the time to street sketch, schedule was packed, so got some photo references for these, hope you'll like them! They are a glimpse of a few places that I visited.

This is the official promo for our colleges' (NID) international animation film festival CHITRAKATHA 11' Edition 3.The Fest' was an absolutely mindblowing insight into animation around the world with eminent people coming in from across the globe and our very own land! ALL of this was organised beautifully by our department co-ordinator, Sekhar Mukherjee! If you'll were around to experience the enthusiasm, you've been lucky! 

The promo was started two weeks before the festival. The animation, storyboarding and backgrounds were managed by me and my friend Dipankar Sengupta, clean up of character and outlining, character design, colour palette by me, final compositing was handled by my friend Shravan Arvind; and the saviors to all our last minute demanding for music and sound were Venkatram V and Matthew Jacob!
