Kindness

We live in a time, where kindness is so rare, that when one displays it, it is welcomed with much surprise. To believe that we cannot change our surroundings, is to accept defeat without even trying. 

It's as simple as this. 

As Ellen would say, 'Be kind to one another'.

I had the lovely opportunity to work on a couple of emailers for Amazon India this festive season, and had a ton of fun working on it!

TEDx - Bangalore - All Or Nothing

Had a ton of fun working on this for TEDx Bangalore! 

Enjoyed the speakers amidst all the chaos last Sunday!

Besides that, here's a little bit about the illustration: 

Kindness. Isn't it odd how rare it is these days? Whether it's arguments going overboard on comment sections on the internet, or things of a much grander scale in the world. 

Why has it become so hard to be tolerant? To live and let live? To be able to love freely? To be kind? Where are we headed? 

My take on all or nothing, is a somewhat utopic image. A world where we can love, support and protect, not just one another, but other forms of life as well. We can try, hope isn't dead. If we do nothing, all may be lost, But if we all come together, nothing is impossible.

Loopers - Topic August: Kick

KICK

This months loopers topic is Kick. 

This particular loop has been a bit of a personal one to me. I am currently recovering from knee surgery. I had a terrible fall in June and have been trying my hardest to get back some normalcy in my life. And I am finally happy to say that I am able to walk again, somewhat of a mountainous achievement in my eyes. 

So here you go, remember to hit the ground running, and feel grateful that you still have your wings.

Had the wondeful opportunity to work with Puffin Books, on the World Wide Fund for Nature's - Wild Wisdom Quiz Book! I personally love animals and see the importance to conserve wildlife. This was tons of fun to do, and I hope you enjoy the visuals as much as I did while creating them!

HOPANTA - A Rudro Bhandary Film

There are so many stories that are worth recognition. My friend Rudro Bhandary's HOPANTA, is one of them. A story told with a sense of raw innocence, beautiful in it's own simplicity.

Rudro is a fantastic story teller, film maker and a truly wonderful human being, with a simple heart and a passion to bring such stories to the screen. But he's not going to be able to do this without you. 

Being an independent film maker isn't a breeze at all, especially when it comes to funds. So why don't we all get together to help him out? Even a small contribution could really boost it's chances. He also has little surprises set aside for your participation.

Mother's day, every day.

   

A Super Happy Mother's day to my Mommy dearest. 

If there's one tradition, that we continue to share even today, is taking a fifteen minute tea break in the evenings. Stop everything else, get the biscuits out, look out of the window, sit cross legged on the bed, sip our tea and talk about everything under the sun. 

It started with me requesting for tea, only to be shot down and handed a tumbler of steaming milk. That progressed to Bournvita, then tea with milk, and now to black tea.

Through this little timeline, our conversations too, have grown. 

And I cannot help but giggle with gratitude at the treasure trove of memories that we've made, just during tea time alone. 

Thanks Ma, for this and all the other wonderful things you've taught me, done for me, given me and sacrificed for me. I celebrate you every day, but this one day, I'd like to share this with the world too. 

I love you, you cannot possibly know how much, but I will try my whole life,

 in making sure that you do.
